Recreational Dance

A recreational dancer attends once a week to learn their preferred style of dance focusing on foundations, friends, fitness and FUN! There are no prerequisites or specific experience required so we encourage you to try whichever classes you'd like to!

Recreational Dance Classes are offered as 10-month long programs recurring once per week with schedules running from September to June.

Dancers can choose their favourite style offered for their age group and give it a try!

Dancers in these classes will specialize in a specific dance style and have a big year-end recital in June. Style choices include: Jazz, Tap, Ballet/Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Acro or Musical Theatre!

CLASSES FOR TODDLERS TO TEENS!

Little Stars Dance Together

AGES 12-24 months (Parent & Tot)

Little Star classes introduce our tiniest participants to music and movement with a parent/guardian nearby to dance along with them! Once they get the hang of it, they’re confidently off to their first tiny tots classes with familiar teachers and assistants where they will participate independently.

Tiny Tots

Independent Ages 2 - 4

Our Tiny Toes classes are a first opportunity at an independent extra-curricular activity! Weekly 45 minute classes help develop independence, self-confidence and the beginner skills for their favourite dance style!

Mini Movers

Ages 5 - 7

We offer Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Acro & Hip Hop for this age group. These weekly 45-minute classes teach each dance discipline in an organized progressive manner so that dancers learn the foundational skills for their favourite dance styles!

Juniors/Teen

Ages 8 - 11 and Ages 12 - 14

By the junior and teen level, classes are fun introductions to jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, acro, hip hop or musical theatre. In each class, dancers can expect a warm up, centre work, corner work and choreography making up this fun-filled 45-minute class!

Senior

Ages 15-17

In a senior class dancers can specialize on specific styles including jazz, tap, ballet/lyrical, hip hop, acro, musical theatre and contemporary. Weekly 45-minute classes work on technique development in each of their chosen styles! We also offer non performance classes including Stretch & Strength, Tap Technique etc. These classes can be inquired by email only.

Adult

Ages 18+

In our adult classes, dancers can focus on specialized styles such as jazz, tap, ballet, or hip hop. Weekly 45-minute sessions are designed to develop technique in each dancer's chosen style. While these classes have the option to perform in the end-of-year recital, participation is completely optional.
